Cassidy Bednark aka DJ Bedz "The White Shadow" was born in Colorado in 1975. After growing up in Boulder, he ventured out to Los Angeles, California to attend Occidental College in 1994. Shortly thereafter Bedz received a turntable as a Christmas present from his mother and started to DJ as a hobby. Practice led to landing Greek events and house parties. With his degree in Music Composition, Bedz moved back to Denver, Colorado and began recording and selling mixtapes and CDs as a promotional vehicle.
Actively involved in the local mixtape scene, Bedz distributed his mixes at several local retail outlets and began to garner attention from club promoters, other DJs, and listeners. He landed his first few steady club residencies, including a job at a popular teenage nightclub where he was put in charge of producing the radio commercials.
